Anytime I start a new job or get a new computer, I tend to install the same Google Chrome extensions time after time. Just head over to the Chrome Web Store and browse the 1,000’s of extensions available and you might find some other hidden gems. The ones below are tried and true for me, though, and always end up being installed. Depending on my exact role and what I’m responsible for, I might use some others, as well.

Adobe Acrobat – Use Acrobat in browser to view, convert, compress and sign PDFs. When you open your PDFs using Adobe Acrobat for Chrome, you unlock the power of PDF online. You can fill and sign a file or mark up a PDF with comments, highlights, and drawings.
Awesome Screenshot & Screen Recorder – The best screen recorder and screen capture & annotation tool for remote work. Just take a screenshot of a selected area of your screen or an entire web page, then you can crop, highlight, draw shapes, and even blur sensitive information. You can also save your screenshot as an image or PDF.
Check My Links – Check My Links is a link checker that crawls through your webpage and looks for broken links. It’ll quickly find all the links on a web page and then check each one for you, highlighting which ones are working and which ones are broken.
ColorPick Eyedropper – A zoomed eyedropper & color chooser tool that allows you to select color values from webpages and more. If you work with images, logos and other design-related elements, this will come in very handy.
Grammarly – Write your best with Grammarly for Chrome. This extension will correct your spelling, grammar and other issues as you write. Plus, it has added features to enhance the quality of your writing. The free version is pretty great as-is, but the pro version is definitely worth it if you want to step up your writing game.
Similar Sites – Instantly find websites similar to the one you’re currently browsing. Explore the web, discover more. There’s millions of websites that we all browse on a daily basis and often find ourselves looking for a similar website to consume content from, shop from or just generally explore.
WhatFont – The easiest way to identify fonts on web pages. With this extension, you can inspect web fonts by just hovering over them.
