Once I started interning/working in radio in college, I had several people tell me that I had to watch Almost Famous, because I’d love it. They were right. Not only did I like the movie, though, but I also loved Penny Lane’s iconic bohemian, groupie style. From the bell-bottoms, the lace, and THAT coat… I was inspired. I actually got a coat very similar to hers back in 2012 from Nasty Gal and I still adore that coat. I’ve gone through and picked out some items that are in Penny Lane’s essence, usually with a modern twist. If you’re feeling adventurous, try out some vintage stores and dig through the racks for more authentic 70’s bohemian-rock fashion.

You’ll want to stick to lighter, warmer colors for Penny Lane’s look: white peasant tops, light wash flare jeans, suede, fringe, and crochet are all going to be staples for Penny-inspired looks.
