If you haven’t been living under a rock the past couple months, you know about the new coronavirus that has been rapidly spreading worldwide. We’re now at the point where experts are highly recommending social distancing and self quarantining in our own homes to protect ourselves and others against COVID-19. We might soon be working from home to help minimize the spread, too. It sounds pretty great at first, but what do you do once the boredom sets in and you start feeling cooped up in your own home? I’ve done some thinking and research on things to do for myself and thought I’d share them with you.

Cooking
Now is a great time to try out that recipe you’ve always wanted or to make some old favorites. Meal prepping might not be a bad idea, either.

Order Delivery
If you’re not a fan of cooking – order out from your favorite restaurants. Just be sure to tip!

Call Your Friends/Family
Now’s a great time to make a phone or video call and touch base with loved ones.

Catch Up on Your Reading
You’ve probably got a couple books you’ve been meaning to read – now’s your chance!

Relax…
All this has been a little freaky and doing something to calm you down and relax is smart. Whether that’s a bath, yoga, meditating… all are great options!

Quality Time with Your Pets
Your pets are going to be thrilled that you’re spending so much time with them the next few weeks – make the most of it!

Get Crafty
Something to keep you busy and your mind off things is a great idea! You don’t even have to be good at it… as long as you’re enjoying yourself.

Clean + Organize
This isn’t the most fun, but I promise you’ll feel accomplished and enjoy being home if everything is neat and tidy. Plus, you’re supposed to be disinfecting things, anyways.
That’s the top things that I, myself, plan on doing. What about you? Any recommendations? I’d love to hear them in the comments below!
