Besides deviled eggs, I’ve had my guacamole requested at a gathering at a time or two before. It’s super easy to make, especially if you’re short on time. It doesn’t tend to hold up well afterward, so don’t plan on having any leftovers, though. The recipe below is for about 8 people, so feel free to adjust the ingredients as needed. The best thing about guac is that all measurements are truly from the heart, so always taste your creation and see how you like it. Regardless, guac is always a guaranteed hit with almost all guests.
Ingredients
- 4 Large, Ripe Avocados
- 2 Large Tomatoes
- 2 Large White Onions
- 1 Bunch of Green Onion
- 2 Limes
- Salt/Pepper to Taste
- 1 oz Chopped Cilantro
- 1 oz Chopped Jalapenos
To Make
Get yourself a large bowl and start off with your avocados. Next, chop up everything else and toss it in with the avocado. A cheat you can do is buy the pre-chopped pico de gallo at the grocery store if you’re in a pinch and don’t feel like handling a knife. I’m hiding that little hack down in the paragraph just for you. Add salt and pepper to your liking – I don’t like mine super salty, but you do you! Last, squeeze in a couple limes and next is the fun part… mix until you can’t mix it no’mo! Serve with some tortilla chips and you’re good to go!
Do you add any other fun mix ins to your guac? I’d love to hear below!
