When it’s summertime and I’m trying to beat the heat, a nice, cool, refreshing drink is what I’m usually ordering. I thought it’d be fun to find some summer-inspired recipes that were easy enough to try at home, too. I definitely love a nice fruity drink in the summer, too. And fruity doesn’t have to mean sickenly sweet, because that’s not my vibe either. Just a nice, subtle sweetness is perfect.
Fresh Peach Margaritas by Baker by Nature
Fun and fruity Fresh Peach Margaritas! Made with fresh peach puree, orange juice, and lime juice. They look so refreshing and a great summer cocktail option.
The base of this drink is a fresh peach puree created by 3 ingredients:
- fresh peaches
- orange juice
- and the tiniest bit of sugar
Once the puree is ready, add ice, tequila, triple sec, and lime – then stir like crazy! Delicious!
Grapefruit-Ginger Bourbon Sour by Fake Ginger
Fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, Bourbon, and an easy homemade ginger simple syrup. The most delicious tart and sweet cocktail recipe! I love bourbon and I love grapefruit, so this sounds like a fantastic cocktail option.
Strawberry Moscow Mule by Spicy Southern Kitchen
Moscow Mules are simply a combination of ginger beer (alcoholic optional), lime juice, and vodka. Add in a strawberry touch with a homemade strawberry syrup by combining fresh strawberries, water, and sugar in a small saucepan and simmering. Then simple strain and add to your drink!
Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. The cocktail often consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. Its combination of sweetness, citrus, and herbaceous mint flavors is intended to complement the rum, and has made the mojito a popular summer drink.
Tipsy Lemonade and Peach Iced Tea by The Comfort of Cooking
I need to try this lemonade-iced tea cocktail with fresh peaches, mint and vodka. Just FOUR ingredients + water and ice cubes. Can’t go wrong with that! You could even skip the lemonade part if you weren’t wanting that sour kick.
Which one sounded the best to you and what’s a favorite summer drink of yours that I absolutely need to try!?
