Lime Crime Soft Touch Lipstick [Try-On + Review]

I am a big Lime Crime fan, so when I had the opportunity to try out their brand new Soft Touch Lipstick via Octoly, I had to jump on it! These new matte lipsticks are super pigmented, yet super comfortable on the lips. They were released earlier this month in 12 flirty, retro-inspired shades. I was sent the following colors:

Mauve Motel – perfect mauve
Punked Up Peach – bright peach
Sunset Dance – strawberry red

The mauve is definitely my favorite, just because it’s the most wearable, but the others are super fun, too! The peach definitely looks more subtle in natural lighting, as you’ll see in the swatches below.

These have a velvet-y feel too them and glide on quite easily. The edge has a feathery texture to them, which is nice if you want a soft lip line, but if you prefer a more precise edge, you’ll definitely want to use a lip pencil prior to applying the Soft Touch Lipstick. These lasted a good amount of time, similar to a MAC lipstick, but probably won’t last you through a meal or anything like that. It did fade quite nicely throughout my workday, no weird rim around my lips or anything like that.
