When Madison Braids reached out to see if I’d be interested in trying out their products, I was thrilled! I’ve only heard great things about them and they had even more braid styles than the last time I had checked them out. They sent me a couple of braids and gave me a discount code to share – use code KIRSTENKRUPPS to save 15% off your order! I thought I’d show off what I got and give my thoughts in case you were wanting a little more information before making your purchase. All their braids are handmade, adjustable, and stretchy. They are a synthetic hand-packed and color-blended material in a variety of colors. You can wear your hair up or down and keep it casual or dress them up for a more formal-looking style.

Madison Braids is owned and operated by a husband and wife duo. Being a mother of 3 under 5 she needed a way to quickly get her hair looking great. She is how Madison Braids was born. She quickly realized there must be thousands of women who either didn’t know how to braid their own hair or who simply didn’t have the time to fuss with it. Invested in making life just a bit easier, she made it her mission to launch Madison Braids. Today, she offers women around the world gorgeous hand-braided hairpieces ideal for work, pleasure, and everything in between.
The Addie adds a little height and a lot of flair to any hairstyle! A string of glossy knots forms a beautiful, rounded braid. This is a fun, quirky-looking braid that I could never achieve on my own and I think that’s why it caught my eye.
The Halo is packed with lots more hair to give a voluminous look. This hand-braided and color-blended piece is a definite must-have! Effortlessly blends in with your hair, adjustable size, and never a need to re-braid! This is a classic, thick braid and I thought it’d be super versatile to wear.
The Butterfly braid so so pretty and delicate. It features a mini braid within the braid itself! This one is smaller in comparison to my other braids, so very wearable.
You can easily hide the stretchy band underneath your hair if it’s down or even roll or tuck your hair over it if you’re doing some sort of updo. Here’s how I styled the Halo for a quick up-do because it was just too stinking hot here in Texas to be bothered having it down. Oh yeah, peep my new forearm tattoo, too! Some other styles that caught my eye include the Arisa Fishtail and Farren Six Strand.
Since the braids are synthetic, they are quite shiny, so a little dry shampoo can come in handy. I think a little extra shine is okay, though, since you often use some hair oil to do a braid anyways. I used my Batiste Hint Of Color Dry Shampoo and then carefully rubbed it in going in the direction of the hair to not mess it up.
All-in-all, I’m super pleased with these braids and would recommend them!
