A laptop or desktop computer is the most important thing you’ll need. You’ll engage in video lectures, participate in virtual classrooms, and collaborate with classmates and professors across various digital platforms. Investing in up-to-date hardware and software will ensure you’re well-prepared to fully immerse yourself in the online learning experience. I chose to get a completely separate laptop only for school work to stay organized, especially because my program is only about 14 months long. Don’t forget to get all the fun accessories that you’ll need, as well, like a Bluetooth mouse, laptop desk, and even an expandable screen.

I also wanted an iPad in order to take notes. I tend to learn best by writing things down, but I loved the idea of being able to digitize my handwritten notes into text. There are tons of apps and even screen protectors that mimic paper that make this possible. There were also instances where we could use notes for a test and having my iPad for that purpose was a lot easier than switching between tabs or trying to decipher my own handwriting.

Even though this is an online program. there are still more ‘traditional’ school or office items that ended up being useful. I did end up getting a couple physical textbooks, so transparent sticky notes were super handy! And being able to print out study guides, notes, or mock tests was a huge help for me, too. Other items that I used included blue light glasses, page markers, and highlighters.
